Hey guys, Ryan offered here. I love talking about some of my favorite podcasts. And this is another one that's on our network, the Radcast network. You know, it's on the network. It's good. Well, let me tell you, you know, who's good? It's Rudy Ricksteins, the in-powered Life podcast. I'm telling you, it's not about looking outward. It's about looking inward. You got to know yourself. You got to know and want the best for yourself. And no one is more loving caring and insightful in teaching you these lessons. Rudy Ricksteins, a good friend and one of our favorites on the Radcast network. Just amazing guests and him and his wife will come on and tell these stories. Number one, you want to hug someone after it because Rudy is so loving and caring. And he's also counseling some of the largest companies in the world on these principles to help them get the most out of their business. But ultimately, this is about self-improvement. If you want to improve yourself, listen to the in-powered life with Rudy Ricksteins on the Radcast Network. This is right about now with Ryan Allford, a Radcast Network production. We are the number one business show on the planet with over 1 million downloads a month. Taking the BS out of business for over six years and over 400 episodes. You ready to start snapping necks and cash and checks? Well, it starts right about now. Hello, guys. And what's up? Hope everyone is doing. Well, wherever, whenever, however you are, welcome to write about now. I'm Ryan Allford, your host joined as always by my good friend, my business partner. And I just want to hell of a good dude. Chris Hansen was a Chris. So Brian, how are you today, brother? Oh, live in the dream. You know, talking the news. I mean, you know, everything you dream. I pinch myself sometimes. You know, you get that's what I dreamed of. You know, I got my starlight background. You know, whatever that is, the ethereal, you know, design that Sawyer came up with. It just makes me feel good and warm and fuzzy. And, you know, so it's yeah, you have to like stop and pause sometimes in life. You know, like, hey, this is pretty fucking cool. You know, and I appreciate everyone that listens that lets us do this and listens and buys our sponsor stuff and pretends to like me on social media, whatever it might be. I don't take it for granted. All, all things. So, you know, there's going to reflect on that, Chris. We get too busy. We don't appreciate what we have in the search for what we want, right? Got to have the attitude of gratitude, baby. Yes. Yes. Chris Hansen has always got the attitude of gratitude, right? I try, man. If I don't, I try to get back into it and make things a lot better. I know we're going to have to start like giving you like the energy shots, because Miami's been in this perpetual rain zone, right? I don't. Yeah, it is. And I think because we happen to record during those afternoon showers, but it's been pretty rainy. A lot more than the afternoon. It's been weird, weird overcast, dreary, not normal, Miami weather. The, uh, yeah, I'm not used to the fade in the background. It's usually like the sun is like piercing everyone's eyes. But no, it's all good. Anyway, we hope you're watching the episode. We go to a lot of effort here, you know, like Chris has got a studio set up in the vacate lounge, you got the palm tree or the green tree in the background. I call it a palm tree. It's clearly not a palm tree, but, uh, it's a great train blue plan. Yeah. And, uh, Sawyer and Drew have us taking care of multi cameras. So if you're not watching this on YouTube, you need to. That's where you get the full video experience, multi camera, multi views. And you never know what's up our sleeve behind the scenes. So give that shot out on the YouTube channel. Just search for right about now. And it will bring it up. You'll see it. See Chris's pretty face. You'll see me doing some antics. Who knows? But, uh, we got all their shorts going on over there. And, uh, we appreciate it. It's, uh, the channel's been growing a lot. And, hey, if you're listening, you gotta watch too. You get home, throw it on. Why you're at the gym or like on the, on the, on the TV, why you're, I don't know, doing the treadmill at home, whatever it might be. It's good. You're not to watch every second that you can listen. And then if you catch some of the views, you know, like, I don't know, Drew might do some kind of like 360 camera. Who knows? We don't even know what's up our sleeve here. But, uh, we appreciate you for listening and continuing to make us number one. We did hit number three in business again last week. Again, so keep downloading and keep telling your friends to go over to Spotify to give some love. We don't want to be number 20 over there and number three over on Apple. We need to, we want to pit these guys against each other. We don't care. Old, where are you listening? But, hey, give us some love on Spotify. We won't hate you for it. Uh, Chris, interesting week in the news is clear the summertime. It's stuff going on, but it's fairly slow. So, uh, and just like real production, I'm not going to edit that out. If you hear deans, I got kids at home, you know, like, this is real time, real, we're keeping it real. Taking the BS out of business. I mean, your wife's texting in the middle of your record session, your kids are home. I appreciate you being relatable to the audience, so they know you're just saying everybody else. Yes. Uh, you know, five years ago, I'm like, oh, we gotta get that, we gotta hit that out. Yeah, I'm like, yeah, it is. I'm just glad I was you'd have me. I'm like, I swear. I was like, look at my phone. Not worse than my laptop gets me. So, yeah, of course. Anyway, it's slower than news a bit, uh, it's not a bad thing. They need to kind of take a break beyond vacations, but some good things and look, there's nostalgia happening for me. It wasn't even in the show notes, but we were talking pre just right before we came on air. College football EA sports 2025. If you've ever played that game, and I think we skew mail. So, probably more of a guy's thing, not to be, not to rail again. I don't know how many women are playing EA sports college football, baby, more than I think. I'm sure I'll get DMed about it. But I'm curious to know, but we do skew mail. And I know there's a lot of guys, my age, Chris's age, that the nostalgia of playing college football, growing up like I did. You know, talking shit to your friends, playing it, you know, stacking your, like, I had to stack Clemson's team back to the day because, you know, Clemson wasn't that great, you know, 2009, 10, a lot, you know, that was right when we were starting to get in our glory days. And of course, the football game goes off, off, stop. They stop making the football game. Right when Clemson becomes like a national champion. But the new release of the game comes out July 19th. I can't tell you, Chris, like my kids play video games. I'll get on there and play Madden or something with them sometimes, but I can't remember the last video game launch date I actually knew or was keeping up with. Many of their, what's the last Xbox PlayStation, whatever, what's the last game you played? Call it duty, 2017. I remember, because I went and bought an Xbox, bought a few games. Not because I was like, let me try to get into this, you know, maybe this is like a new hobby, right? Yeah. It's gonna be a big soda. Let me just say this. Oh, this is something I would almost portal and go go pick up because I used to play this definitely when I was a kid. Yeah. Love it. It looks good. Order state Florida. It's got all the real names. The name, image and likeness thing. So like, what's this guy to do with business? Number one, big business is video games and esports. If you don't think it is, then you ain't paying attention. So it's like, it's like an industry and a economy to itself, the esports and gaming overall. So get your head out of the sand. If you don't think there's a big business happening there. It's real money in it. Yeah. Yeah. And number two, I'll say this, it's sort of like one of those things that transcends, I think, because how popular is with the sports and now with name, image and likeness with college players, being able to make money and get paid. And really, you need player too, because high schoolers too. I mean, you can essentially get paid no matter what and not to worry about like, you know, your scholarships getting screwed up. So all these guys are getting paid. So that's what that was the, that was why it went away. Because I can't figure out how to pay the athletes that ultimately, they're the rights. Because they were just essentially, when you think of a double magnet back in those days, probably, all right, we're going to, Johnny Manton's, yeah, Manton's, I've already got a million bucks behind the scenes to be on the cover, you know, but the, but they've got all those hurdles out. Supposedly, every player, so get this, gets a free copy of the game and a $600 payout. Anyone who's ever played, no, that's in the game this year. So like, I'll use my team, I graduated from Clemson, go Tigers. So I'll use Clemson, for example. So, yeah, the secretary, mock vests of Lyman, you know, his name and number, it will be on the game. He's getting 600 bucks in the free copy of the game. No matter if your name, because they're going to have names on the back of the jerseys, if your team does that, because again, they're following the standards of the team, most of them do. So names, numbers, and they said the likenesses will probably be a next year thing, because they're, they're similar, but they admitted that like the, the second stream office of Lyman may not look exactly like him, you know, and I'm going to make the old and not investing as much in the guys that aren't getting off. Yes. So they're all getting paid 600 bucks. And then there's like these, it had this asterisk. So individual deals for like the people in the cover and a couple of the other ones, you know, let's be honest, the quarterbacks and the Heisman hopefuls that are on the cover, probably getting, you know, much a lot more than $600, but everyone that's actually named in the game gets 600 bucks. Now that adds up a lot, because there's like, it's like, I wanted to say it's 38,000 people. So what's the rough math? I might do that. So they're 40 times 600. 40,000. I think it's more than that. 25 mil. We got, we got the team. Yeah, it's going to be 20 in the 20 mils. 25 mils, something like that. 600 times 40,000. Yeah, it'd be like 24 million. So look, this game's going to make a billion bucks. Like all the add-ons, all the stuff. Like they say the, the, the, the biggest titles end up bringing in like a bill, like Call of Duty's made because I've had multiple versions of it, but like billions in revenue. Call of this game will probably be a billion dollars in revenue. So like, it's a lot of money, but they're making a lot of money. Don't, though, you know, you're, I don't know, I'll be telling my agent, dude, I want residuals, not a one-time $600 fee. I know, I was actually, I actually thought it was a little low, like 600 maybe for the second stream off of the alignment, but I thought it'd be a little more than that. Like, okay, water boy. Like, is he getting 200 RJ cheerleaders? You know, hey, it'll happen. Maybe, you know, coaches. It's cool. It's cool to see it's like the first innovators in this. Yes. And I'm going to be playing with it. We're going to get some college football ball going on here live. I don't know how, if that will be a good experience. I don't know how much of a show that would make, but you know, I, I talk shit while I'm playing, so I could make the commentary pretty good. I buy this place coming. I'll tell you what plan I'm running. I got half back running left, right down. Yeah. We know your right tackles week. We know, we know, or your, your, uh, your defense event. We know he's, you know, he's weak coming for you. Run this option, right down your throat with 84 Nebraska. I get those old things, baby. Yes. So college sports, EA sports, it's a big business. All the skins, all the games. And so, hey, all right, here, we're in Chris. What are we about on this show? What we like to give? We like to take the bullsh** out of business. Yes. But what do we give people? What do they take? They get actionable advice in real life. Here it is. Here it is. So you know, this is an iconic launch. You know the date of it. If you're a business in that caters to this audience, which is a very broad and highly male skewing audience, probably, I don't know, 18 to, it might be even younger to that, but probably 18 to 45 male. Yeah. Because a lot, I mean, like my age, like the stoutish stuff, people, they're getting this. Look, if you got a bar, restaurant, like it's easy. If you got those things, like have some gaming part, have some release parties, like do some stuff that it's called borrowed interest. This is going to be a big deal, a big release. And you share in that interest by leveraging the interest on that to get the shine and the halo on what you're doing. So what might that be? You had to connect the dots there. I can't figure it out for you. That's what you hire us for. It's called radical.com. Go visit the website, fill out the form. But I'm just saying, it's a moment in time, like, and it's going to be a big deal. So how do you, you know, share in on that, throw things or do things, especially if you're retail business, like a, you sold a lot of men. Yeah. Like you're going to college town. Do a giveaway. Get giveaway. Like, how do you pull it? It's a hundred dollar game, $70. But it's not cheap, but at the same time, have giveaways. Like if you're a bar, have give away a hundred copies. I mean, it'd be a big bar, but 50 copies, 10 copies. That'll drive how much food could you sow on a night if you gave away 20 copies of this game and then had it play. Yeah. I'm telling you, like that's what you need to be doing. These are like these little moments. It's like, this isn't like a, like a big like national moment, like for everybody. But for this sub segment of people, they're very loyal to the game that want to get their hands on it. How do you tie into that? That's, that's what marketing is about. That's what like borrowed interest. Hey, leverage the halo effect from this. Bring in. Hey, have a, it's July. They're not back in school yet. If you were ever going to do an NIL deal with one of these athletes, you do it when this game releases. You have them at your business. If you're a car dealer, you have Cade Clubnik, the star of of Clemson's office, the quarterback. You know, whoever it is, you have them that day. Because again, there's a lot of other media that other people paid for that's creating awareness. And then you tap into that and you share that stage. It's, you're sharing the stage. It's kind of news jacking a little bit. But it's like, how do you connect these dots if you're a small business in any way? Hell, if you do taxes, whatever it is, give away 10 copies. Have it on your social media. Well, what's that guy to do with me at a lawyer? Nothing, but it makes you look fucking human and authentic. Yeah. You know, the segment of Jews that are going to be like, yo, I'm calling that guy. Yeah. If I got, if I got in my feed, a lawyer who I thought was a stuck up prick, but the suddenly like holding up, you know, maybe it was just something he made, a cardboard copy. I'm 10, you know, you've got a law problem or you think you might have a business law problem. You've been put it off free copy and it's a free console and a free copy. Yeah. They don't have to be complicated folks. It's cool. I would probably take that call. And you know what? I'd go in there going, I'm just look at copy. But then maybe he smart and says something. I'm like, damn, man, you need to hire him. Just saying folks. NCA college football 25 EA sports. I want my check. And in 8600, those things need to be sitting right here. This is the audience that that thing needs to be sitting on EA sports. It's in the game right now. There you go. Yeah, I haven't heard that in a long time. Yeah, it's all your, it's all your reminding me of that one. Oh, yes. I mean, I brought them up. So why not get there? You know what else is in the game? Who's always in the game, Chris? Who is always in the game? Brandon Bills, braidedbills.com, the official merchandise sponsor of right about now. Look, I'm going to come around there. Hopefully not take that mic out. I might, you never know. I'm away from the mic so you can't hear me. But look, dude, this is what you need. Audio is terrible, but that's okay. Sorry, I make it sound good. I'm telling you folks, I'm even going to mess it up. I had to hear it. The dude going today. I'm going to mess it up, put this song, the two shows, Chris and I do vibe science right about now. This is where it's at. Custom gear delivered right to your door. Go to vibe. Excuse me, braidedbills.com. Let me go sit down and do this part of the audio. We're not live. Dude, go to braidedbills.com. Go in that top right corner. Custom. You go fill out the form. Chris, I got to tell you, the most surprising part of the experience, because look, I own an ad agency. I've got a bad ass designer all around me creatives and look, I don't want to bog them down with creating variations of logos for merchandise. I sent them our, our base logo and they do all kinds of designs for you. And you know, before the brand police come calling, they play around with some things, but it's awesome because they give you a couple of different looks using patches, colors. So it's not only the custom hats that you end up getting. It's the custom designs that they'll do leather patches, all kinds of things that really make it stand out, make it feel premium. We've always talked about the business. No cold. I do no cold calling.com. That's what braidedbills need to start because you're sitting custom merch is the warm call. You want it for your golf tournament. You want it for that church social coming up. Whatever it is, you want custom gear with your logo, your vet name, merch, t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts. And of course, it is braidedbills, the best hats in the business. We love them. We appreciate them. Chris, you know, I'm always singing their praises. And I get the pulpit like a good pastor because I'm passionate about them, not only because they're a sponsor, but because if you pay attention to any of my social media, I have one of their hats on 90% of the time. I know you love them too. And I'm guilty today. I'm not wearing a braidedbills, but every other day I usually wear a braidedbills. People know we use them for VK, the other company. They're definitely the highest quality hats I have. I mean, I wear them five out of seven days, comfortable, look good, easy to clean, sweat resistant, great for the gym. Exactly. I love them. They're great. And I wouldn't use anyone. I mean, I had to get it, you know, sometimes I have to not wear a hat just so all of my videos don't look the same. Yeah. Hey, I actually still have my hair. So I had to show it sometimes, you know, but all serious, this braidedbills great partner and you'll thank us go get their custom hats. They're amazing. And before you know, it'll be super easy to work with. That's the key. It's turnkey. It's easy. It's it's turnkey. They respond. Sam pulled one of the owners founders amazing people. There's good of people as they are quality. So look, before you know it, I mean, it's burning up here. It's 90 something degrees. It's out. But you get the custom hoodies coming in for that fall weather, that fall outing you got with, you know, two or three hundred people coming for some of it, you got for your, I don't know, sports leagues. I'm telling you, you'll be the star of the show. Braidedbills, braidedbills.com, Tissue Burt's a nice sponsor of right about now and Ryan offered. Oh, Chris, a couple good articles today. What do we got? So first one, it's not a surprise. We, we, we say it sometimes and, you know, I don't necessarily mean it. It's kind of a dumb thing to say. I'll say TV is dead. Nobody watches TV. And when we say, with us stupid advertising people say stuff like that, it's what we're saying is, linear television, like, okay, cable, yeah, cable TV, or even local TV that you watch it, like it the exact time of something. Yeah. And what that's when we say like that's dead or declining is probably the better way to say it. But that's what they mean. But this is an article from our good friends at NBC news.com. They love us. We love them. YouTube is dominating the living room, forcing media companies to decide whether it's friend or foe. Newsflash, they ain't a friend. Yeah, they already took you down. Yeah. Yeah, the games. Okay. I like the game. I get to role play and scenario play a little bit here. This look, we take the bullshit out of business. And like, I tell you like what, look, I got a focus group of four at home. It's four young boys that love media. They look, they're like their daddy. They love media. And you know what? When I get home from work, do you know what's on my TV? My big 86 inch television in the living room. The TV's playing. But you know, it ate linear TV. And we got it. We still have the cable. We have YouTube TV ironically. That's why YouTube's got themselves surrounded. No, what they're playing, Chris is YouTube streaming. Mr. Beast or some other trick or fails. Like, it's all YouTube for all the time when they're watching, if they're watching something that's not like a movie that we've, which might have to be ordered from YouTube TV. It's YouTube. And they're streaming it with me on their phones and now on the TV. And yes, what? My 15 year old's going to be ruling the world in 30 years. So like, I say that to say, and I say mainly, not putting that pressure on him more, more his generation will be ruling the world that they're growing up doing these things. When you grow up doing it, you do it as an adult. You're creating habits. And you know what their habit isn't, Chris? It's going in Higg the power on the cable box. Yeah, it ain't coming in at 530 and turn on the local news to get the weather. They're not waiting for it. They're not waiting for it. They watch what they want when they want. Period. Like it's on demand. That Genie ain't going back in the bottle. I've been on cable like seven years. Yeah. Yeah. No. Other than live sports, it's accidental for me. And I would say that live sports is the only thing keeping people. So I think keeping cable off. Yeah. Period. So this article of MCD says it's been almost 20 years since the founding of Alphabet's YouTube. And Hollywood's Hollywood still doesn't really know what to do with it. YouTube, which effectively invented user-generated content, claims that daunting share of overall media consumption. And it's no longer just dominating the internet. It's dominating the living room too. No ship. YouTube made up of 9.7% of all viewership on connected and traditional TVs in the US and May. It had 9.7%. It's the largest share of TV for a streaming platform ever reported by Nielsen's monthly The Gage report. Netflix ranked second with 7.6% among streamers only YouTube's total viewership was close to 25% market share. This is when we start playing taps linear TV. Sayonara sister. It's the games over. So my point in this is to say you need to go watch right about now on YouTube. No, that's why we're going hard on YouTube, baby. Like we know it. It's true. It's true. I got to at least be where my TV right now. It's what I got to at least be where my kids are. I trip across me on an ad or something. They may be your best teachers right now. How to say they are. I watch what they do. Yeah believe me. Yeah. I mean, I've noticed I have a YouTube on right now. It's just like a calming beach music scene. You know, it's like become the screen savers. But then I look at even my parents, boomers, they've canceled the cable. They're all YouTube TV now. Yes. And I think that's more of a cost thing than content. Probably at that age group. Because it's not like my dad is watching Mr. Beast, right? But and maybe two because YouTube knows what will keep you in the algorithm. The algorithm. I got you in there on commercial and I'm like, I'm telling you right now. It's not even and I like YouTube. I don't even mean this like bad. But like TikTok gets all the fucking blame like the hourglass and all that stuff. And there's look, there's a lot of like rabbit hole surfing going on on TikTok. Don't be wrong. I know. Swipe city, baby. But YouTube is flying under the largest fucking radar ever created because they are the beast of the east and the west and everywhere else. And they don't get any of the flak. And I was saying this, so he should. I'm just saying if you're the scale. No one's talking about doom scrolling on YouTube. It's no TikTok. Exactly. Which brings up a good point. Why right? I think it's because YouTube has has a legacy of that user generated content that's higher value, higher quality. Now I'm not saying because everybody is polished, but it's just it has the it has the legacy. And I know you TikTok has to tell you, you've got the tick tip, talk tips and all that shit. But the legacy of you, you Google things, you YouTube them. And look, what do you think comes up first when you go how to pollinate a tomato with this guy right here searched for that two nights ago? Because I got this one potato potato tomato plant that is it to grow tomatoes like all the other star. I looked up and it said because I didn't have a we don't have bees back there pollinating the tomatoes. And I took a Q tip and I felt like, you know, I was like an in vitro clinic. You know, I was like, Dr. Green sum over here. I was, you know, getting it on with those tomato plants, pollinating, you know, the male and female flowers. It was it's fascinating. But that was YouTube. How to YouTube? Because I did how to pollinate a tomato plant. And if you're looking on Google, which we all are, we all have iPhones are 75% of us. And you go to Google or you use Chrome, you know, what videos do you think show up first? YouTube, baby. Out of that. All you can eat. Yeah. And you know, I've rumbled and you know, Vimeo. And you don't want to click those right? You're like, yeah, though, you're checking the YouTube video. It's comfortable. And so they have a legacy of credibility built there. That's not because they're perfect. It's a trash on there too. But for whatever reason, throughout with them is a lot better. I don't get that trashy shit in my feed the way I do on TikTok. That's why I was like, I somewhat agree with the YouTube has been feeding me some trashy stuff lately. And it's honestly annoying. It might be because of the story or if you do a lot of sorts, you watch what that's what it has been. Yeah, shorts are completely different. And I can see maybe shorts is more where their algorithm is pushing more because people are paying or whatever it is. Like maybe that's more of the business side. Yeah, how they're monetizing. Yes. And so for a business point, okay, what does this all mean? It needs you to be if you're a business, you need to be on YouTube with content. And that's nothing new. I mean, this has been the advice for a long time. Big things run some ads there too. Your targets there. Everybody's there. Kids are there. The parents there. And you got the bumper pre rolls where they got to watch the first five seconds without skipping. You get your brand up three times real fast right there at the beginning. And then you don't even pay for it. You don't even pay for that as a as a full impression. If they don't, if they just get before the five seconds, so you get brand awareness is that I'm not saying that's like a it's good of an impression is a 30 second television commercial. But I'm just saying YouTube ads, having a presence on YouTube. I mean, look, this, this bell right here, Tony. And if you're listening, you don't going to get this. I'm putting them. I've got the, I've got a, we're going to call it 60 pounds. It's probably more like 15. But it's real gold. You get, if you're listening, I'm going to do this every time. So you go watch the YouTube because you won't get, look, I'm a big dude. I'm 65 to 60. This thing is weighing down the shoulder, baby. I'm just telling you, this gold shining right here, you got to go watch the video on YouTube to get this, Chris. You got to see it. Real. You need the full experience. I'm aware of the shoulder like the wrestlers do, you know, to be the man, I think you got to beat the man. I mean, you need to be walking out of the house first in the morning like that and getting out of your car at the office, walking in like that. I'm going to walk down the dock at the lake with my chubby's are short chubby's in just this belt. Yes. Like, oh, there's Ryan Alford, you know, with that podcast. Number one, baby, there's his wrestling, his wrestling belt. Yes. But you got to see how he's doing cannonballs, also his boat houseboat again. Yeah. Woo. Yeah. There we go. Big flare, baby. I'm just telling you, YouTube, too big to ignore and flying under the radar, baby. It's like, you know, they're like a sumo wrestler at a preschool somehow flying under the radar. Where did that guy come from? He's the elephant in the room. You didn't see. Yeah. Well, you're going to see it because every kid in America is watching it all day, all the time. They're watching linear TV. Why are you spinning ads on cable TV? What's you building the clubhouse? You build a business and you build a clubhouse. It's the same. All right. It's all about value. We take the BS side of everything. We know we're all going to be doing prom day, baby. July 16th and 17th. You heard it here. 12th. Hey, we're not saying we're first. We're just saying we're right. We let all the news sink in long enough that we know what's supposed to happen versus what's reported. And basically, Amazon, the annual annual mega sale, you think everything's on sale normally. They got that mega sale, baby. Telling you, I got like, I have a few echoes, like a few of those speakers that are pretty damn good back of the day, like 20 bucks. My kids still have like one of the shittiest tablets ever that we got for like $20 or something, but still a $20 tablet. 16 is 17th. I'll free prime members. Some of the best discounts all year. It's official. Amazon is hosting prime day. July 16th to say, I believe there's not just a prime day. Number one, it's prime days, 16th and 17th. And it's exactly how they have like four times a year now. Just yeah, yeah. It does seem like bear for detail. Sometimes the 48-hour mega sale is exclusive to prime members giving them access to shop deals on tech travel accessories, kitchen gadgets, home products, pets, supplies and more below. Oh, yeah, they got it. They hit this start again. Came from our friends also at NBC News. Go to their site. They've got some of the specific categories. If you want, I really get into that. They don't have the deals yet. Not giving those out yet, but they do have all the categories. What's the cheapest thing you ever got on prime day? Can you remember? Probably like a phone charger for like $2 or something, you know, like a packet, iPhone chargers or something. I'll tell you what I got. I got one of those shark vacuum cleaners. They were normally like, no, like the shark. They're the whole like the stick vacuum cleaners. Yeah, they're normally like $300. I got them for like 80 bucks. And I always thought those things were just ads all hype. Those things are, those things are awesome. Like they weren't great. What's a robot shark? It's the robot vacuum. Shark robot vacuum. You know, one of those like rumbus, but it's a shark one. So that's just the brand. Yeah. You've got to upright. Okay. I got the upright shark. Yes. You got the room bus. I'll tell you what, good story on one of the room bus. You know, where where does Ryan and the kids like to go for a little play time adventure that might have some games involved? I want to say the lake. Oh, David Busters obviously. Oh, Chris, you know, we better than that. Yeah, David Busters. So we were having a good banter day like normal. Snapping necks and cash and checks, tickets, whatever they were. And whenever the old prize closet prize room, they know us there. They bring me beers in there now. It's like it's a great thing. So we're choosing. They've got a room ball in the, we've stared at that room, but we've gone so many times and gone. And I've always, I've never bought it in the room. Bullshit. I'm like, that robot is, the thing's not picking up anything. Like it's going to get stuck. It's like, we got too much shit in our house. Like get rugs. No, the rooms are awesome. They actually really work. They pick up stuff and you know, come home in the room. I'm never bought it. Anyway, finally, after some hard work at the games, we worked hard for these tickets. Chris, hard work. We go into the prize closet room show, whatever it is. And we aggregate it. All the kids and mine. And we got that fucking room. But yeah, to get home. Exactly what I thought biggest disappointment ever. Now, it wasn't the room, but it was the fumba. But of course, it was a big game. It was, it was a, it was a knockoff. I gave him us is in selling the premium. Yeah, it was not it. But we put that thing in. I said it and forget it. I came back in. That thing was like munching on the carpet going like, looking at noise. I'd never heard my wife's going, you had told you not to get that thing. You're like, you see the rug. I knew it would. You know how long we've had that rug? I'm like, fuck. I threw that thing right in the trash. I was a wasted trip to David Buster's right there. That's a line of tickets. I bet $750 Roomba. I don't know. Probably not that much, but no, they had the olive baba special. Not saying what we spent on tickets. Oh, yeah, dude, you probably people over a grand for that thing. Not to mention the hours you put in. I have four kids. I've seen you in that place, bro. You're working. Dude, they're working that thing. I mean, for kids, you drop $500 in there. Before I open the front door, it's like, because if I'm going to drop all the way over to Woodruff Road, if you've been in Granville, you know this. The shop's at gridlock. That's what we'll call it. My good friend, Mike Weston, tell me that one. I'll give him credit. We'd like to give credit around here. But in all seriousness, it's to get over there. You're going to spend a couple hours. And if the six offered clan, spend a couple hours with David Buster's, let's just say, you're dropping $500 real fast. Yeah. That Roomba wasn't worth it. But Amazon Prime Day, I might give five another one. We'll say things piece of junk. You've told me you have you have the Roomba, the shark Roomba. I mean, does it work for you? Yeah, I got it. I got it for Christmas. It's great for dog care. Okay. Yeah, I run it like, okay, it's not as good as, you know, a human cleaning, right? But if I run it like every other day with my dog and kind of helps just maintain, you know, yeah. And it's pretty good about not getting stuck. The technology has definitely gotten better. But because I wanted one that doesn't mop also, but I've read the technology and the mop in vacuum is not there yet. So I stuck with the traditional vacuum. It's amazing. Yeah, I love it. You're single though. You got like kind of a standard floor. You have those hardwoods or hard like towel or whatever it is. Yeah, like they don't make crazy kids. Persian rugs or anything. You probably have nice expensive rugs. I don't even know necessarily that. We're like nostalgic stuff. You know, I mean, we have some things that are expensive, but I don't know. It's the rug in, you know, you're in a house. Yeah, you know, yeah, I'm going to take it upstairs. I'll tell you that it does not walk upstairs. So game over. No, the only thing it gets stuck up on is all the chords for the podcast stuff. Once in a while, we get hung up on that stuff, but it's it's good for maintenance, but I want to count on it for a deep clean. So that's my feeling. You got to review. You need to BS out of everything. Yeah, that's been my feeling about the room since beginning. Some people swear about them though, not me. So save your tickets at the prize, cause it at DNB and get a Chinese finger trap and sit in some ring pops, not a room. Exactly. Exactly. Or just go by, you know, what you want to buy, you know, but it wouldn't be as much fun. Uh, finally today the New York Post dot com Rivian sores is Volkswagen plows five billion into the struggling EV maker quote unquote game changing electric car maker Rivians shares sore 28%. Wednesday after Volkswagen revealed it would invest up to five billion to jumpstart. I like what they did there. The Tesla rivals growth. Tesla rivals growth. Volkswagen said it would initially invest one billion into a joint venture to create what was described as a next generation software defined vehicle platform that will be used in both firms electric cars. Rivian is slated to receive another four billion by 2026. The deal was seen as a much needed boost for Rivian, which is burned through cash and energy. That was man. And taking heavy financial losses while ramping up production despite slowing consumer demand for EVs, Rivian said the investment would help the firm churn out more affordable vehicles. So this is a couple of things here for the business side. I mean like number one, the EV thing I've always thought was overblown and too rushed for where like consumers were ready. They cost too much. They don't have enough savings. There's not enough gas energy stations. With that said, and we talked about this a little bit pre-upsoed amongst the team here. If there was an electric vehicle that I had, if you know like give you some classical marketing, you got awareness, consideration, intent, and purchase. I'm aware of Rivian. I have consideration. I do not have intent. But if there was a electric vehicle that their intent button might could be pushed down, it might be Rivian. Because they look kind of like a Range Rover, sleek, pretty good, the SUV. Trucks look pretty cool. They don't have that. I mean, let's we'll talk about the Tesla cyber truck in a second. That's just dinosaur, you know, a freaking future car, whatever. But the freaking Rivians look pretty good. They have the sleekest look to me. If I was always like, if I was going to get one, I don't know. Like why do the electric cars have to think they have to be look like something that we wouldn't want? I don't know. I don't like you make like one that looks like a Range Rover. Yeah. Yo, or just or a Tahoe. Exactly. Not like a refrigerator on wheels. Yeah. Or iron. But they, uh, it does look good. I've been in one. It looks pretty nice. I don't know the quality level of the longevity. Like that's where always my question is like these cars. Like it's shit. It's going to start breaking in three years and you're going to be annoyed. But they look good. If I was going to get one. So I say all this to say, I think that if I had to guess, I feel like my taste with cars are generally like an alignment with like other people. Like, I think there's probably a lot of people in that boat that maybe it looks pretty good. I was going to get one. If it wasn't, you know, a million dollars, there's not that much, but it still costs a lot more notice than I might consider that one. So if if Volkswagen can get them into, I don't know, that space of affordability, considering, you know, what you price point value, all that stuff, get it more in the out of the at the at the space zone. I feel like that some of these car prices are like through the stratosphere. If you can get it more in the eye with that, then it could take off. I think Volkswagen obviously sees that. Do you ever drew in one of these? No, I've never I've driven a Tesla. That's the only thing. Not a cyber truck, but I see these Rivians around not as common as cyber trucks, probably down here, but I see them. And there's one of my buildings. It's a good looking truck. I agree with you. If I had to hold a trigger on one tomorrow, that'd probably be the one I'll roll with. The sorry, would you drive a Rivian? Yeah. True. Yeah. Would you all agree that they're on the nicer looking side of the electric? Okay. God not. It's that feeling. I was not set up and you aren't seeing them, but they're saying, yes, and they were quickly saying yes. Sometimes when I think they think that I want them to say yes, they sort of, but they're not really wanting to say yes, they might kind of slow nods like, yeah, I agree with you. Sure. Ryan, this was fast nodding, which is the, which means what I by a hunch of the design is it is sort of mainstream like sleek, cool. Has that Range Rover kind of look? I see Range Rover. I think you Tahoe, whatever. Just yeah, it looks like a regular vehicle, not in the cyber truck. I've noticed only people I hear saying they love it is the people that own them. Everyone else I talk to is like, yeah, it is or ugly or whatever. The cyber truck just looks like the moment it gets adorning or something, I'll be like, now what? Where do I get this fixed? You know, like the body's not really going to know how to fix this. No, and or do anything with it. Ask the problem with some of these specialized vehicles. It's like, you have to think what happens when the shit hits the fan. Like, okay, what am I going and what am I doing to get this rectified? So that my $200,000, you know, vehicle can get back on the road, but not the sand. I haven't seen them do too well in that. It is. Exactly. How many in Miami are there? Like, what we see a couple around Greenville even. There's a lot now. I mean, I remember when they came out, you know, you would seem a little more scarce. Even as far back as November, I remember seeing one during our basil, but now I feel like every day I see one. And, you know, people are kind of more like tricking them out. You're seeing wilder colors and different wheels and stuff like that. There's an eye sore to me. I'm just like, oh, like, it catches my eye, not in like a good way. It's not like, oh, look at that beautiful, you know, Lamborghini or even a normal car. You know what I mean? It's just like, what is this clunk of metal driving down the road? Yeah. It does look on Miami. What's this bright pink clunk of metal? Because people are wrapping them all these crazy colors. What are they? Is it made of aluminum? Like a lot of the other hiring calls. I assume. I don't know. Or adamantium. I use that as a terminology. Like, that's a real metal. So I'm just like from the Avengers compound. I don't know. It's actually a real metal. Would that just an Avenger? As an Avenger's term? Yes. Thank you, Solar. Yeah. It's sort of my universal term when I'm trying to describe like a really hard, rare metal. I was like, I think it's made of aluminum. I know what you're saying. I'll get nods. I think sometimes I think I said it last week. Like, yeah. It's like, it does. That's just like Adam. I'm like, I think that's made up enough. But thank you for agreeing with me. Agreable. If you like me, agreeable. Even they're not sure what Adam. It sounds like a, you know, fancy hard metal. Anyway, it's summertime, baby. The heat getting hot studio is heating up. The YouTube products heating up. Chris, you stay, you know, maybe you might have to heat up with that rain storm. I don't know, battle through that with trying to cool down. I was your paddles out. I know I'm going to see if it's flooded when I head down, we'll see it's been flooding pretty easily here. So any final words down the rain boots? Everyone have a safe weekend in and stay hydrated, tie it out there. Yeah. A lot of people vacation next week. Hey, celebrate your independence. We won't have a show until the following week, tell you a light week next week when I do something fun. I record early, but I will say this, hey, we are independent for a reason, celebrate, fire off some fireworks. Remember, don't take it for granted. It's not guaranteed, baby. If you don't find us, Ryan is right.com, find all the highlight clips, links to our sponsors, links to YouTube, telling you we're coming for it. We appreciate you couldn't do it without you, appreciate it for making us number one. That's what we got this belt, baby. Number one today. I looked at it before we came on the show. Thanks to you, not us. Chris Brobe Hansen on Instagram, I'm at Ryan Alford. You see this blue checkbox before you can buy them. See you next time. Right about now.
