Ryan Umina

Ryan Umina’s journey is one of grit, reinvention, and purpose. Before becoming a nationally recognized attorney and CEO, Ryan worked a series of hands-on jobs, including delivering pizzas, bartending, and construction work. Seeking more, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he developed a strong foundation of discipline and service that would shape the rest of his life. After his military service, he pursued law school and discovered a passion for standing up for those who couldn’t fight for themselves.

After graduating from West Virginia University College of Law, Ryan quickly rose to prominence in the legal world. He earned recognition as a National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 and was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for six consecutive years. He built his legal career specializing in criminal defense, business law, and contract disputes. His reputation was built on results, and his drive was fueled by his desire to help people navigate some of life’s most difficult situations.

Today, Ryan serves as the CEO of SETC Pros, a company dedicated to helping Americans recover the tax credits and financial relief they are owed. Under his leadership, SETC Pros has helped more than 250,000 people recover over 200 million dollars in pandemic-related tax credits. Ryan is now recognized as the leading attorney in the country when it comes to helping business owners access missing government funds. He and his team and currently spearheading a campaign called ERTC Refund which helps business owners stuck in the ERTC IRS-backlog gain access to up to 85% of their ERTC capital within 2-3 weeks.

From the job site to the battlefield to the courtroom to the boardroom, Ryan’s entire career has been built on service. His mission today remains the same as it has always been: use his skills, knowledge, and voice to help others succeed.
